His Word To Thee, Is ~ "Come Unto Me," 20 lines
(continued from above) He demands judgment and then pays what we owe through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. It tells the imperative that the works of man can never save him, cannot do what Jesus' atonement (the payment of His pure blood) did do/has done. The fiftth couplet closes the poem as follows: "Though your sins be as scarlet ~ come to Him, The blood Jesus shed cleanses white as snow, Come now and reason ~ receive not what's grim, His loving forgiveness and peace to know." His invitation is to all. Any that come to Him, He will in no wise cast out.
