It mentions that the gun is not the problem, but a corrupted wicked heart by those influences it has received. A product of wicked thinking is behind the violent action by whatever means. The eighth couplet reads: "Wrong influences taken in, Have so captured the mind, Way past temptation to gross sin, Herein the dilemma to find." The poem closes: "The root problem is one's own mind, Put garbage in ~ and it comes out, Tighter and tighter does it wind, Until they in violence shout." The need of the day is a good mental health based on truth.
