A Flower Is A Beautiful Thing, 2 pages, 40 lines
(continued from above) The fifth couplet reads: " 'Tis the Divine work of the Artist, Picturesque in their meadows and fields, Through great benevolence they consist, Such lavish treasure ~ though fading ~ yields." The poem shows the brevity of life, as flowers and mankind fades and dies, and yet man is eternal and will live forever. It closes: "Eternal life in Heaven above, Is through His wonderful atonement, His blood shed for our sins ~ 'twas God's love, 'Tis the greatest fragrance God has sent."
