Be Ye Holy, For I Am Holy

Be Ye Holy, For I Am Holy

This poem highlights the integrity of hard work and one's striving for perfection.  It then shifts gears to the higher challenge given by God to believers   to  "Be  ye  holy,  for  I am holy."    It states that this ought to be the way one charts their life.   It then states two immutable facts that deal with the pure way of salvation,  and the different subject of one's sanctification ~ that of being set apart and made holy.             (continued above)

Be Ye Holy, For I Am Holy,  20 lines

(continued from below)     It clearly outlines  salvation  by grace  through faith alone,   and holiness  as  a learning process.    Note the fourth couplet says:   "This brings up two immutable facts,    That each of us need to comprehend,    Firstly,  salvation's not of our acts,    Also,  we need the strength  of our Friend."    Salvation is of the Lord's grace alone  and our faith  in that grace  (the blood atonement of Christ).    Sanctification  is also  of the Lord,  for none can become holy  without His Word,  His Spirit,  and His  help.   The poem is  a good challenge  to frame on a wall,  but also,  as a  good witnessing tool.    Trust you will enjoy.
