This poem emphasizes the high cost for freedom paid by our brave soldiers.  It challenges each of us to not squander it away, but to live our lives in knowledge and wisdom, and to rejoice every day.  It reminds the reader that freedom was carefully laid which is upheld by our Constitution.  It reminds the reader to remember our soldier's brave sacred service.  (continue below)

(continued from above)    The poem closes:    "Each bear in their body and mind,    The scars and memories of war,    Many died ~ or missing to find,     The ultimate sacrifice bore."    We ought remind ourselves every day of the price that they paid.    Take time to thank a Vet when you see them.
