Truly Awesome To See, The Cost Of Liberty

Truly Awesome To See, The Cost Of Liberty

This POEM highlights, "the cost of liberty,"  as truly awesome. It starts  out  by  downplaying the trifling and trite as not qualified for  the  true  use  of  the  word "awesome."  Things common or of jest, are not equal to things, of "divine light." When one sees "flag-draped-caskets" ~ this is a scene  that  bears  such  awe. They  speak  of  life  and  true sacrifice.  The  poem  speaks  of  the  "solemn  scene"  and "reverential  silence."  It  also highlighs true vanguards, and living and dying for the cause. True liberty and freedom, ought to  always,  give  to  us  a  truly awesome  pause.  (see below)

Truly Awesome To See, The Cost Of Liberty,  1 page,  20 lines   Subject:  Remembering The Awesome Cost Of Liberty

(continued from above):     Truly  the  word  "awesome"  ought  to  be  used  when  the  scene  merits  it's  use.    The  fourth  couplet  reminds:     "Gazing upon the solemn scene,    Brings a reverentail silence,    'Tis not morbid but e'er pristine,    True vanguards of our reliance."    Our hats are off and our hand is over our hearts,  as we salute these  who gave so much  that we may truly live free.
