Earn The Gold Star On Your Paper

Earn The Gold Star On Your Paper

This poem honors hard work and is rightly critical of slothfulness.  The politically correct vain ideas not to hurt little Johnny's mental health by making him equal with everyone else is what is harming him.  Diligence and development of character and excellence is a must. (continued below)

Earn The Gold Star On Your Paper,  20 lines

(continued from above)    The title lampoons the fallacy  of giving everyone an award  whether they work for it or not.   This is a bunch of modern day psychobabble.   Grading and competition are very good.   This is real life.   The poem closes:    "The development of character is right,    Tough love and true love is most valuable,    Laziness in discipline becomes a blight,    They need to earn the gold star ~ not a label."    Enjoy reading!
