Reckon Yourself, Dead To Sin

Reckon Yourself, Dead To Sin

This poem tells the believer to reckon, consider it to be so, that they have been set free from sin and made alive to newness of life.  That they are no longer obligated to the old master to lust, but are free to serve the new master to love. By the blood atonement of Christ, set free from sin's penalty, one needs to now serve the right thing. (continued below)

Reckon Yourself,  Dead To Sin,  2 pages, 40 lines

(continued from above)   The fifth couplet reads:   "No longer obligated to obey,   The flesh and all the enticements thereof,   The old master has not the grounds to sway,   I've been set free to obey God by love."    By God's wisdom ~ His Word,   and His power ~ His Spirit,   the redeemed are enabled.   Believers have victory through the Lord.
