This poem sets the contrasting emotions of joy and sorrow. Joy that is found in God's presence,  but also sorrow due to His holiness  and our sinfulness. As Isaiah cried out "Woe is me...",  and Peter,  "I am a sinful man."   The magnificent conundrum:   God's presence ~ and great joy,  God's presence ~ and great sorrow. The Apostle Paul,  as well,  "Oh wretched man that I am..." (continued below)

(continued from above)   The way to victory is to cry out for cleansing for those that are saved.   For those not,  then to cry out for salvation on His merit and shed blood alone.  Also to be filled with His Spirit  (Galatians 5:16).
