Multiple Cultural Snares

Multiple Cultural Snares

This poem is given as a challenge for all, to not follow peer pressure,   a herd mentality,  to  just to fit in.   Regardless of the actual multicultural snare. Discernment is an essential ingredient,  and not  emotion primarily,  especially the emotion of  fear.  Teenagers especially need to learn to say no to that which is wrong to do. (continued below)

 Multiple Cultural Snares,  20-lines

(continued from above)    There are many multiple cultural snares in society today that bid for one's allegiance.    Many have ruined their lives, and some have even died trying to be accepted by others.   The poem closes with the following words:    "Be willing to stand on your own and do right,   Regardless of how others mock, laugh, and jeer,   Stand up for what you believe  ready to fight,   Choose not what's convenient, or live out of fear."   Entire people groups are ensnared by false narratives,  and get caught up in emotion just following the crowd,  and waste their lives.    (See our poem,  Ensnared By A False Narrative).   Our hope is that this and other poems will help which:    "Opens the eye,  Renews the heart,    That they won't die,  Makes a new start,    Lives not by chance,  'Tis dangerous,    Which won't enhance,  'Tis ruinous."     Beware of herd mentality!
