Drunk On Power And Prestige

Drunk On Power And Prestige

This poem is about self aggrandizing politicians,  that are out of touch with people.  (It can be applied to radical group figure heads too).  They suppress truth to keep people bound that they may use them for their own blinded agendas. They often use false narratives as a hook to the unwary, and feign a false compassion to their plights in life to gloss over their real motives.           (continued below)

Drunk On Power And Prestige,  20 lines

(continued from above)     Hard working Americans are busy working hard,  and want to keep job security.  Those in power, far too often,  use a scare tactic rhetoric to promise to "fight for them," while pushing their faulty ensnaring system that undermines that very security.   It mentions that men are not marionettes on a string to use as a puppet, while they live is luxury and often lewdness.    The poem in the 4th couplet calls them what they are:   "You have become a blinded bat,   Though you keep on the "vote radar,"   Your dialogue and phony chat,    You're a hypocritical star"   The poems ends in a forceful charge and promise to vote them out to preserve freedom.
