Blood Soaked Beaches

Blood Soaked Beaches

This poem captures the essence of the death and carnage it takes to liberate a country or peoples when brave soldiers storm those beaches in such courage and valor. Many have been wounded, lost limbs, and have been scarred for life.  Others paid the ultimate sacrifice, thus dying that others may live.       (continued below)

Blood Soaked Beaches, 16 lines

(continued from above)   The poem closes:   "Liberation came at great cost,   Many white crosses and the star,   Memorials of these brave lost,  On the world's beaches ~ near and far."   The D-Day landing on Normandy is a real example of such costly liberation.   Honor is given to these.
