This poem gives a brief overview of the D-Day invasion which made the great difference to the liberation of Europe. They went forward into utter chaos and sure death believing that their lives would make a difference.  They did! Many bequeathed their last words on those beaches as they became a part of the great rendezvous with destiny. (continued below)

(continued from above)   The fourth couplet reads:   "Under brutal enemy fire,   Through mines and such metallic maze,   Rendezvous ~ Destiny ~ Desire, Such brave men are worthy of praise."

This poem would make a lovely framed gift to any veteran, especially WWII Vets still with us.
