Pledging Allegiance

Pledging Allegiance

This POEM is a poem that goes through  our  great  pledge  of allegiance  line  by  line  and  briefly  commenting  on  each segment of what it means or some  notable  comment  in reference.   We  make  no apology for our flag or pledge. We are flag waving Americans. The 4th couplet states: "And to the Republic, Where poeple are supreme, For which it does stand, Not some delusive scheme."    (continued below)

Pledging Allegiance,  24 lines

(continued from above)     We  believe  that  every  child  ought  to  learn  and  recite  the  pledge  with  hand  over  heart.   They ought to be taught what it stands for,  and the cost  to keep it flying!   Enjoy!

Editor's note:  There is a foolish trend to downplay and disparage  the American Flag today.   The most incredible  is a recent trend  on college campuses  to literally  stomp all over it!    Incredible folly!
