(continued from above)   They had no food, shelters, tools, or firewood.  Having won Trenton and Saratoga,  now Valley Forge became a new battle to survive.  It tells of George Washington on bended knee, seeking the aid of Providence.   It closes,   "Blood and tears mark the snow,   Both did pour our from within,   Only these could really know,   Through Valley Forge they did win."
