Deep Seated Biblical Belief, Needs No Change ~ Truth Changes Not

The POEM is  a  declaration to those politicians of the day that say  we  must  yield  our  deep  seated  beliefs.  The  poem defends the position of "truth" versus the position of "change." Truth cannot be yielded for it is truth.  Change needs to come to the truth. The foundation of one's Christian faith is doctrine based on truth,  the Bible.  To give up one's doctrinal position because of some silly politician running  for  office  is  fanciful indeed!    (continued below)

(continued from above)     Through the ages  politicians have always sought  to coerce believers to change.   Pontus Pilate  questioned Jesus  about truth (see the second couplet).    Our allegiance is to God  not to man!   No man can set him  or  herself up  in God's place  and tell believers to yield!    Neither is this the voice of  a true American speaking,  but a rank socialist!    The poem is an answer to that politician.   The poem closes:   "Truth needs no change ~ for it is true,    Change always changes ~ o'er and o'er,    Truth abides and is right to view,    Change is a corruptible sore."
